Fettercairn is situated in the foothills of the Howe of the Mearns. This area is one of Scotland's most fertile regions, and is why Fettercairn is blessed with beautiful roaming countryside, and maintains its roots in farming.

In the centre of the village is the famous Romanesque Fettercairn Arch, which dates over three centuries and stands proud as a reminder of the areas relationship with the Royal Family.

The wonderful countryside and history of the village is complemented by one of the oldest malt whisky distilleries in Scotland. The distillery is snugly tucked away at the foot of the Cairngorms from which it takes spring water supplies. These distinct characteristics combine to produce a balanced malt whisky with a fine character.
